Notes from the operating floor

We publish when we have something concrete to say, usually after an engagement surfaces a pattern worth writing down. Everything here is written by the practitioner who did the work, and opinions are labelled as such.

Articles are editorial opinion and general guidance, not advice for a specific situation.

We publish after an engagement surfaces a pattern worth writing down.

This is our resource hub: articles, short templates and method notes drawn from live engagement work. Everything is written by the practitioner who did the work, opinions are labelled as opinions, and nothing here is advice for a specific situation. Where a piece depends on our own client data, figures are rounded and anonymised.

Rework is the hidden tax

Why re-measurement matters

Most productivity gains decay. We look at what separates the ones that held at twelve weeks from the ones that quietly reversed.

Scoping an audit properly

The difference between an audit that produces a decision and one that produces a document is usually decided in the first conversation.

What we write about, and what we do not

Our editorial line is narrow on purpose. We write about how work moves through large organisations, how to measure it honestly, and how to change it without breaking what already works. We do not write generic leadership inspiration, we do not publish listicles about productivity apps, and we do not offer opinions on industries we do not serve. If we have nothing useful to say on a topic, we stay quiet until we do.

Articles are reviewed internally before publication for accuracy and for confidentiality. Where a piece cites a client pattern, the client has approved the level of detail or the detail has been changed enough to remove any risk of identification. If you believe a published piece resembles your organisation more closely than you are comfortable with, contact us and we will review it promptly.

Newsletter and resources

We send a short monthly note with new articles and occasionally a template. It is opt-in, one click to leave, and we never share the list. There is no lead-nurturing sequence and no automated follow-up campaign; if you subscribe, you get the note and nothing else.

General guidance is not advice. If a decision matters, talk to someone who has seen your data.
